FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Only a doctor can make a correct diagnosis of an allergy to protein secreted by a cat, based on an interview and test results (driving from breeder to breeder to pet a kitten will not help). The test should be done before reserving the little one.

Monthly maintenance plus veterinary care is an expense that you must include in your household budget. Owning a pet always involves responsibility and expenses. It is important to remember that a kitten is not only a wonderful cuddly toy that brings us joy every day. Owning a cat will also bring you worries and worries.

Cats are not loners! They are less absorbent than dogs, but that does not mean they can sit alone at home for a dozen or so hours a day. They need the company of people or other animals. Think about whether you have time for daily play, cuddling, petting…

Who will take care of the cat during your absence or illness…

Can you stand hair that can be everywhere, in soup, coffee, on formal clothes carefully locked in the wardrobe. Especially during shedding periods.

Now these very difficult questions:

Will your loved ones – children / spouses / parents… love the cat as much as you do, will they not chase him away, will he not be a reason for arguments, are you sure that no one will abuse him?…

If so, do you know which of them are toxic, will they not be more important than the cat's health…

The price of a cat from our breeding farm is non-negotiable. We approach our passion very seriously and responsibly, putting a lot of heart, time and money into it. Maintaining a breeding farm is expensive. These costs include:

  1. Testing of breeding cats for diseases that are characteristic of the breed. In the case of ragdolls, these are genetic and echocardiographic tests for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy HCM. Echocardiography is performed on cats more than once, but according to the veterinarian's instructions.
  2. Genetic and ultrasound tests for PKD (polycystic kidney disease).
  3. Mycological tests for pathogenic fungi at the Provincial Veterinary Inspectorate.
  4. Testing for internal parasites.
  5. Membership fees for a club associating breeders, including the costs of various necessary formalities.
  6. Training costs.
  7. Huge costs for exhibitions: fees for accepting a cat for an exhibition, travel, accommodation.
  8. Vaccinations for a small kitten, but also for adult cats.
  9. Deworming.
  10. Microchipping and registering in the database.
  11. Visits to the vet in case of any doubts.
  12. Purchase of food not only for the kitten, but for the entire herd (which will not go to the barn to catch mice); Cat sucklings do not only suckle their mother, sometimes they need to be fed. If we want healthy babies, we will not give 3.2% milk from a cow or goat, but special milk for kittens and certainly not from a regular pet shop because with this, we can destroy the digestive system. In addition, rabbit meat, tuna, duck and other goodies. Probiotics, vitamins...
  13. Litter, you can never have too much of it.
  14. Proper maintenance of hygiene of the breeding farm, or rather our home, is primarily washing, vacuuming, washing floors. Washing beds, mattresses, accessories for scratching posts or rugs and bedding, because after all, kittens, both small and large, sleep with us. Water, electricity and appropriate chemicals that do not harm the animals cost money.
  15. Indoor cats are particularly susceptible to stress and boredom – they need toys and scratching posts.
  16. Demale cats also need to have a comfortable birth – I can’t imagine giving birth in a cardboard box.
  17. And finally, my job, which doesn’t involve opening a can and putting it in bowls – doesn’t end with cleaning the litter boxes. It’s a full 3 shifts, i.e. work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If I want to go to an exhibition, my family has to get involved, and the same applies if a family trip falls out, I have to hire a trusted person. Please remember that CAT BREEDING is not just playing with a kitten.
